中文摘要 本文以「童話小說」觀點出發，分析《西遊記》書中的童話質素，驗證本書與童話的密切關聯。承認它具「童話小說」的本質，並未損及其豐博的思想、深邃的意旨及精湛的藝術審美價值，反而為它多面向的價值找到真正的起源。 本文共計八章，第一章〈緒論〉，歷述研究《西遊記》的動機與目的，並說明本文的研究方法、研究範圍與限制。 第二章〈童話與童話質素〉，對童話、童話質素等，作定義上的界定；再由本書中擷取其童話性與技巧作探討。 第三章〈西遊記的源流與演變〉，以文獻探討西遊的源起史實，與吳承恩如何重新組織，再創《西遊記》的新生命；並簡介吳承恩生平及成書背景。 第四章〈論西遊記中的想像〉，討論《西遊記》中想像的運用和技巧。 第五章討論〈西遊記中的神魔形象〉，追溯書中群妖的來歷，並表列呈現以明梗概；再以孫悟空神奇莫測的法術為主軸，以其「變化的性質」與「變化的目的」為研究內容。 第六章〈西遊記中的法術變化〉，將書中的法術變化，以童話觀點整理變化類型，並列出這些變化類型在書中使用的人物及情節。 第七章〈西遊記中的寶物〉，論述寶物定義及分類。本文將書中的「寶物」以其弁鄐擭�為「尖端武器」、「特殊用途的寶物」，及「高科技寶物」等三項。分項把書中出現過的寶物，按其類別及出現章節一一介紹。 第八章為本文的結論。本文以『童話小說』作為《西遊記》研究的新方向，並說明《西遊記》的影響、成就與嬝物�導。 |

Abstract
The research explores definition of “novels of fairy tales”, materials of a folk fairy tale- “Journey to the West”, and how are “novels of fairy tales” and “Journey to the West” related. Admitting “Journey to the West” belongs to the category of “novels of fairy tales” does not affect its contributions of significant thoughts, profound ideas, and exquisite artistic values. Moreover, the book has found various types of values for its actual originality. The research includes eight chapters. The first chapter, “introduction”, describes motive and reason for exploring “Journey to the West” and interprets research methods of the research. Chapter two, “fairy tales, folk fairy tales, and materials of fairy tales”, defines subjects regarding fairy tales and materials of fairy tales. The research also extracts concepts regarding materials of folk fairy tales and techniques from the book for discussion. Chapter three, “originated sources and developments of the book- Journey to the West”, uses recorded documents to explore originated history of the book and how the author, Wu Cheng-En, reorganized the ideas. The research also briefly introduces Wu Cheng-En and the book’s backgrounds. Chapter four, “Creativity of the book”, discusses uses of imagines and techniques in “Journey to the West”. Chapter five, “god and devil images of the book”, traces backgrounds of these devils and presents clearer pictures of them. Using a monkey in human body gifted with powerful magic ability as the main theme, and using his “nature of variations” and “purpose of variations” as research content. Chapter six, “magical variations described in the book”, rearranges all magical variations with viewpoint of fairy tales and makes lists for types of variations used by all characters and scenarios in the book. Chapter seven, “treasures in the book”, defines and classifies all kinds of “treasures”. The research classifies “treasures” by their functions. There are three types of treasures, weapons, treasures for special purposes, and high tech treasures. The research classifies and introduces gradually those treasures in the order of its categories and chapters. Chapter eight is conclusion of the book. The research interprets “Journey to the West” as a “novel of fairy tales”. The research also lists influences, achievements, and reading instructions of “Journey to the West”. |
